Every stem you cut triggers two more branches below the cut, so the harder you harvest, the bushier and more productive the plant gets.
Cut deep, right above a set of leaves, and you'll pull armloads of blooms off the same plants from July straight through first frost.
They're direct sown, drought tolerant once established, and they pull in pollinators that work the rest of the farm for free. If you only plant one cut flower this year, this is the one.
