That row I never got around to picking just paid me back in seed. Dried snap pea pods go papery and rattle when they're ready. Shell them into a bucket, finish drying them out of the sun, store them cool and labeled. Open pollinated snap peas are self pollinating, so next spring you get the same pea back, a little better suited to your ground every season. Forgetting to harvest is only a mistake in July. In April it's a seed bank.
