Part 2. Once your LABS finishes fermenting you are holding two kinds of gold, and most people toss one of them.
The strained serum is your living army of lactic acid bacteria, and I run it three ways, as a foliar spray that feeds the leaves, a soil drench that wakes up the root zone, and a compost accelerator that heats the pile and kills the funk.
The curds left in the cloth are loaded with that same bacteria plus calcium and protein, so nothing gets wasted, my dog gets a scoop as a probiotic treat, I blend mine with fresh herbs and eat them like a cultured spread, and whatever is left goes into the compost to seed the next batch.
Everything goes cold because the fridge acts like a pause button, dropping the bacteria into dormancy so both parts keep for months. Tell me how you use yours.
