Meet Mimi, and her very first dahlia of the season. 💛 She jumped for joy when this one opened, and honestly, so did we. She's been deep in it this year, learning selection, planting, timing, and propagation, one bloom at a time.
And this one surprised her. It doesn't look like the big round dahlias most people picture. It's open and bright, almost like a colored daisy, which is exactly what makes the early singles so charming.
